4 More Pages...
4 more pages for her book; already ordered and they should be here tomorrow! I'm waiting by the door for the mail carrier!! I can't believe how much fun digital scrapbooking is!! I'm feeling "caught up" on her pages right now, but have to stay on top of it or can be a daunting task to keep afloat!

WOW Pictures
These Kelle pictures took a few weeks ago are to die for!! How do I ever pick a favorite?
Lily had her 4 month checkup yesterday. She weighs 12lbs and almost 2 feet long!! That's 2 Subway sandwiches!! LOL! We had a scroll of questions and he answered them like he was expecting all of them! One of the questions we thought was funny was that Lily has a tendency to stick her tongue out for long periods of time like this post says (see 4th picture) so we asked the doc about it and he said it was normal and definitely a genetic trait...we bout busted out laughter because one of her parents does it and his name rhymes with wavid. Crazy how genetics work huh? Guess we know for sure that there wasn't a mixup in the lab! lol. Everything checked out OK and we'll go back at 6 months.

Weekend
Mom and sissies went away to the Hyatt this weekend to celebrate Jen's birthday. We had a great time!! I missed Lily like crazy, especially when I saw babies Lily's age frolicking in the water laughing and kicking away. David and I are taking her there in August so I'm sure she'll have a blast!!
Happy birthday Jenny Girl...hope you felt as special as you are to anyone who knows you and is lucky enough to know your heart!!

We were lucky enough to get the TOP FLOOR of the hotel! As in the 18th floor! When we went to the elevator, we had one choice and that was down only!!

Day with Lily
She loves to kick and play in her activity gym. She kicks the sides and makes the toys move and she goes bezerk! I guess she played a little too hard here...

I just can't get enough of listening to her!!! Hope this doesn't bore you to tears, but we're new parents and get excited when she even sneezes!! lol
David is embarrassed to use his sing-songy voice on camera so he's went to the other extreme and talks to her like she's on a job interview!! LOL!!!

Cozy Day
Here's a video of Lily just being Lily! It was a rainy day so we ventured outside only to get caught in it (it was a comedy of errors) so we made it a cozy indoors-y day. This clip is only 4 minutes, but I could watch her for 4 hours!!
If you've never seen Kelle's camera, here it is in action...she is constantly snapping!! I think Lily sees the black lens more than she sees Kelle's face!! I think the camera is bigger than Lily!! (pulling out tape measure)
Here are some pictures taken with that gi-normous camera that Kelle posted on her blog a few weeks ago in case you missed it...too cute for words!! Maybe I'm just biased!!

Happy Birthday Lily! (literally)
I love playing the "this time last year" game because it BOGGLES my mind how much can change in a year!! I don't play this game often because I don't like to live in the past and usually I can't remember what I was doing this time last year anyway. I can barely play the "this time last week" or "this time yesterday" game!! ha ha
Sometimes I actually forget all that we went through to have Lily because it doesn't seem real. It's like it happened to someone else. I actually have to remind myself sometimes. This is such a drastic change because it was at the forefront of my mind and I couldn't stop thinking about it for 4 years! It was draining, exhausting, confusing, heartbreaking, terrifying, and tested me/us in ways I never thought possible. Lily is like a magician who made it all disappear. She makes it all worth it.
Because I'm such a numbers and dates girl, these dates will never leave my mind. Lily was implanted in my tummy as a little embryo this time last year and we haven't been apart since. I remember tossing and turning the night before with so much nervous anticipation, leaving at 5:00am for the 2 hour drive to the clinic, stopping at Atlanta Bread so David could get a cup of coffee, paying $100 extra for my acupuncture session because it was on a Saturday, holding David's hand through my acupuncture sessions, then going upstairs for the "fert report" to see which embryos would be implanted into my little tummy. Sometimes people find out at the "fert report" that none of the embryos made it in the incubator and have to go home without having a transfer! Paid all that money for nothing. Not even a chance. We were both so nervous, but making jokes and very giddy trying to lighten the mood. I remember it being a very happy and peaceful day even though we had so much on the line.

Terrific Transfer!!
Today could not have gone better! Tears were rolling both of our faces as they placed the embryos in. It was relatively painless, but it was such an emotional moment as we saw the whole thing on the monitor. The best part of today was finding out the grades of our embryos!!
Here's how the grading system works on day 3:
First Number = Number of Cells ranging between 6-8 (8 being the best)
Second Number = Grade which they want between 1-2 (1 being the best)
Last time we put in 2 perfect graded embryos at 8.1 and those were the only 2 out of 12 with those grades so we got really lucky. The others were good too, but not the "perfect graded embryo" of an 8.1. We hoped for another 2 embryos rated at 8.1, but thought it was a long shot since it's rare and we only had 2 last time which we were lucky enough to transfer resulting in a + pregnancy.
Well, are you ready for this? Butterflies were floating around as she went to get our "Embryo Report" and guess what? The first one was rated as an 8.1!! BINGO!! I felt like we hit the jackpot knowing at least one had a perfect rating until she told us the second one rated as a
(drumroll please)
12.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was off the freaking scale!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The scale goes to 8!!!! OFF THE CHARTS!! Our children are already gifted I just know it!! ha ha

I didnt even know that was possible! She said it's very rare and "that embie is going crazy in there" and was VERY HAPPY with both of them to say the least!!!!!
We have 8 more embies growing right now and hope to freeze some, but the criteria for freezing embies is very tough so we're not getting our hopes up like last time as only 20% have embies able to freeze. The freezing/thawing process is very tough on those little guys (and girls) so they have to have an extra high grade after being in the incubator for 5-6 days.
I had acupuncture before and after and that was awesome! David even came in the room for the post-transfer session just to see what it was like. Today was bonding, inspiring, peaceful, stress-free, happy, exciting, relaxing, and so so encouraging! No matter what happens, we know that we did everything we can, wouldnt do anything differently, and it's now out of our hands. I think God heard all you loud prayers begging and pleading for Baby Hutcheson(s). He sure did deliver today! Thank you for your love and caring support through all this.

I had 2 down comforters on top of 4 pillows stacked into a cushiony bed in the backseat for the 2 hour ride home. The bed was so high that it was almost impossible to get into the car and my face was practically touching the ceiling of the car! They said the embryos couldn't get "bumped out", but I was still nervous. We stopped at McDonald's and I remember getting a caramel sundae because I thought the caramel would be extra sticky and help the embryos to stick to my uterus lining. Crazy, I know!

This picture is in her nursery in a frame that says "Watching You Grow" and isn't that the truth. Every baby starts as just a cluster cells, but most parents don't get to see this very first picture of their baby. I look at this picture with so much awe and amazement that it literally takes my breath away when I look at it and then at Lily. Every baby is such a miracle.

Talking
Lily is quite the chatterbox lately! I love hearing her sweet little voice!! Her 'future self' (props to Emma for this term) will love to watch these someday.

This Time Last Year...7/11
What a difference a year makes! Lily was conceived in a petri dish this time last year...we didn't know it then, but our lives were about to be changed in a magical, awe-inspiring way! She was implanted in my tummy 3 days later on 7/14 and we haven't been apart since!! Incredible!! Happy conception day Lily Pie! We are better people for having you in our lives.

The pain of all we went through to get Lily is gone, but there's always a scar there to remind me that used to bring me shame and sadness when it was an open wound, but now I admire the scar left behind with pride.! She was worth every shot, doctor appointment, dollar saved, dollar spent, all the 50+ negative pg-cy tests, all the heartbreak, every tear shed because all of that pain brought us to her.
We are a stronger family because we went through it together. I wouldn't change a thing!
Life is good!

Lily's 1st 4th :)
Lily's first 4th of July was wonderful! We took her to the beach, watched sunset and enjoyed fireworks by the pier. She was awake during the fireworks, but didn't seem mesmerized by them like I thought she would be. She was busy looking everywhere, but in the sky! 
This special holiday was also fell on her 3 month birthday!!

She's so content on Daddy's shoulder. I think she likes being up high. She also will be featured on "America's Got Talent" because she can put her WHOLE fist in her mouth at once!!

I think she's tired of the 3 month photo shoot....
But this shot takes the cake!!! You won't believe this picture! She was cooing, kicking and flailing her arms during the photo shoot. I just happened to catch her "mid-flail" and she turned out looking just like a doll. Like the kind of doll you'd find at Target sitting on the shelf. Except this one is priceless.....

Grandparents Galore...
David's parents flew in from SC to meet Lily for the first time and it was a memory making weekend for everyone!! David picked them up from the airport after work and Larry said "Driver, bring me to Lily!" tee hee.
They brought so much love from SC that our house is feeling emptier now that they're gone. Lily was given more kisses and hugs then she knew what to do with this weekend!! It brought tears to my eyes to see them loving on her so much when they prayed their little hearts out to bring her here!!

Lily loves books; she listens intently, swats her hands at the pages and stares at every page like she is taking it all in; she especially loves it when grandpa and grandma reads them to her:)
We all put together this shadow box together that Kelle gave me a few years ago...we really got into it and there was hot debates going on in the household what should go where. Thanks Rayna, Kelle and Carin for the inspiration

There's something about looking at Lily when she's over someone's shoulder that makes my heart skip a beat. I love when she makes this face with her forehead.
We even took Lily to the beach (suited/sunscreened up) for the first time at Isle of Capri!! What fun!! She's a water girl for sure!!
Grandma surprised us all by making this handmade quilt for Lily!! This is her first one she's ever made!! She learned how to do it at church and used Lily's nursery as the inspiration for her color selections. If Lily is anything like me, she'll love ice cream too!!
