jumping for joy

When Lily first asked to jump off the edge of the tall side of the pool I bet David $100 bucks she wouldnt do it. Once again, she made me a losing gambler. She is always surprising me with her new bouts of confidence emerging everyday. Because jump she did. Again and again and again. I had to take video of it because I knew it was the only way I'd believe it later. I love seeing this side of her.
(trying to embed videos a few different ways so it's the same video twice - which one worked?)

If you can't see video, click here

And since we're all jumping with excitement around here with Grady's pending arrival any day now, I uploaded these pictures randomly, but realized they all have a similar theme. Can you pick it out?

spread your wings and fly little Lily...

Grace wanted a piece of the action too...

wow, she even had time to pose mid-air with a smile...now that's talent...

and Douglas showing his best moves...

then Grandma had a chance to join our jumping bean, but no water was included...

and Lily goes absolutely crazy pants every time someone new comes home and we have a silly little game where that person hides around the corner in the house while knocking until Lily finds us and greets them with hugs/kisses/fawning...it's adorable so I was trying to show my mom how it works when we were over there, but Lily just stood still by the door with the sweetest face; shy smile and all and said these were for 'gahmma'. Have I mentioned she's obsessed with picking flowers? She does it daily and everytime the recipient acts like it's the first flower they've ever received. These were special flowers from gma's garden...(thanks for the adorable dress Andrea...yumo!)

and a big ole' ginormous congratulations goes to Molly and Dan for their beautiful new house they just moved into a few weeks ago. It's been a long road finding that perfect house, but worth it in the end for the beauty and love you'll create there. There was a BIG debate on couch placement; went on for hours and tried every which way until we all agreed to angle it. Well, we all agreed to angle it in the room except for Dan who didn't want to turn his head to watch tv. An ever so slight turn of the head is all that's needed. So he's purposefully poking fun in this picture showing the effects of neck craning on his new couch. (look this way Dan) Such the joker.

So, ya, we have A LOT going on here in anticipation of Grady's arrival which could be any day. I'm quite the planner so I'm not a big fan of my water breaking unexpectedly while in a strange place so I may just hang out in the hospital parking lot next week or maybe I can become a candy striper volunteer for a week so I'm where I need to be in case he makes an unplanned arrival. Being that I'm 39 weeks pg, I guess he has every right to come any time, but it still scares the bejeezus outta me. So I think I'll stop jumping around so much, settle in, continue nesting, soaking up these last few days as a family of 3 and savoring the excitement as we become a family of 4. So many unknowns coming up with so many expectations; some that will come to fruition and some that I have no idea about yet, but it's all very exciting.

Exciting even if I am sitting in the hospital parking lot for a week.

think of it this way ... at least you will have a perfectly good excuse for wetting yourself ... and it should be pretty obvious to anyone within a close enough proximity.
and?
maybe ... just maybe ... if you are in a line at the store ... you will get to move up to the front.
i cannot believe she jumped. and swam. you've talked about it before ... but it always amazes me.
and i also can't believe you were still swimming. our pools closed a month ago.

What great pictures and the movies of ‘the jumper’ always amaze me . . . I’m so happy Molly & Dan finally ‘landed’ . . . I really like their new home . . . the view out back is awesome . . . it’s been a wild ride for them these past 6-7 months . . . I was so impressed with their resolve to just chug-along . . . I may not have been so relaxed . . .

I’m really looking forward to see Grady Wayne . . . I’ll also be excited to see the happiness on your face . . . on David’s face . . . and most of all Lily’s . . . Lily’s going to be SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited . . . and that will make me SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited too!

Btw . . . you need some help . . . call me 24/7 . . . OK?

Love Ya!
