Walking

I'm usually not a very patient person so I thought I would be the type of parent who couldn't wait for the next milestone like sitting up, crawling, walking etc, but nothing could be further from the truth. I love every stage and although it's exciting to think about her doing the frankenstein walk, it's so much fun to see her little puffy booty shake and try to figure out what to do next. I know walking is around the corner and it's cool to think about, but I'm going to miss her crawling from room to room like a girl on a mission SO MUCH!! It's videos like these that will be foreign to us and her "future self" so I can't stop capturing it.

This video is what big girls love to see looking back on their babyhood.

Here she is showing off her skills. I think she can walk already, but she doesn't know it yet. Take your time sweet Lily, take your time! No hurry to walk. (sniff, sniff)

Kelle stood Lily against the wall on her bday and took one of the cutest pictures to date. (see header)
It's so cute to see her standing there, arms spread out like an airplane and not sure what to do next.

With all these videos, can you tell my 2nd baby (ie camera) is still in the shop? (more sniffling) Life is good!

I agree that header pic is adorable. Almost walking and then jogging! Oh your girl is just so smiley. Love that. She definitely looks less like bug but there are still similarities, no? Birthday gift on its way! I figured she had enough to open on that day....ha. Really, it just takes me forever to get stuff in the mail and I swaped Lily and Lainey's birthdays in my brain so Lainey got a gift for Lily's and Lily for Lainey's. Anyway. xo

I'm with you, Leah...the sight of her smiley face crawling toward the camera put me over the edge, too.

Oh...do I love her.

And good job on controlling the urge to rush to each stage. You will be grateful you did.

so cute!!! she really does have a contagious little smile. her crinkle nose is still me favorite!

oh i know how bittersweet it is to welcome a new accomplishment, but it's saying goodbye to something else that was also something so big at one time. it hurts a little.

so much to look forward to. so many more firsts!

(beckham sitting next to me. wants to watch video over and over and each time i push play he screams, "LILY!!!!" he says it excitedly each time like he doesn't know she'll be in the video. so cute. he loves lil lil!!!

Can she be any cuter in those leggings? I love the second video when she puts her little finger to her mouth at the end, like she is thinking about what cute face to make next :) I just love, love, love the airplane arms on the wall, so adorable!

I agree with the leggings, she looks so cute. I think leggings belong to sweet Lily.

Lily just keeps getting cuter . . . just keeps learning new things to do . . . just keeps doing things getting her deeper into our hearts . . . Cuz these are the things we wanna remember as she goes on to the next phase of her life.

Thank you Kelly for sharing Lily with us all.

Love Ya!

Dad & Grandpa!

So, OK - it's official. I am irretrievably hooked on the videos and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
That little sassy skirt she's got on in the one she is walking with the walker is just too much, they way it bounces back and forth with each step.

C'mon!!! The cuteness never ends!!!
