Think Tink

Someone was a wee bit excited for her Tinkerbell/Princess/Pirate party....
I've never seen Lily so excited about having a party in her honor...she's always one to run from the spotlight and doesn't like a lot of attention, but her 5th bday was different.  She was so excited about every detail, who RSVP'd and wanting to know how many more days until her party for weeks.

She was beaming with happiness, confidence, independence and glowing the entire day.  I loved watching from the sidelines as she giggled and chatted with her friends.

Seriously look at this smile of hers...she was smiling from her heart like this all day.  Having Grace there was icing on our birthday cake.  Douglas was there too but too cool for school to dress up like a pirate.



I brought Grady over to the table while they were eating pizza and Lily whispered to me, "mommy i want you to go sit over there (pointing to farthest chair in the room), but Grady can stay here, but you go over there ok mommy?"It took me aback for a second because she's always preferred my lap or hanging on my leg at birthday parties, but I was so proud of her for her confidence and feeling comfortable in her own skin.
