sleeping babies

If you come into our house and the babies are sleeping, then you must speak in a whisper voice and practically tiptoe around the house. This isn't a request made by us, but by Lily when her babies are sleeping. Always face down and she'll pat their back like an assembly line, often 2 at a time, tending to each of them as she shooshes them peacefully. The same rules apply for when Grady is sleeping even though he could sleep through a rock concert.
this boy. this heart. this rugby shirt. triple the love. I wish everyone could spend a day alone with him to see what I mean. Even an hour. I'm sure we'd have a tug o war to get him back. He oozes sweetness from every orifice...

Im SUCH a sucker for him in sweater vests! I'm going to see if they can make them as a bathing suit for this summer.

this is what I saw when I peeked on the patio the other day...she looks like Picasso hard at work taking a short break before she goes back to the drawing board...chug-a-lug...

our little lefty hard at work...

she was so focused on what she was doing she didn't even look up or notice I was above her snapping...

Santa brought Lily a EasyBake oven and she thought it was the coolest thing ever...she put a cake out on the table for dinner even though it was like 10:00 in the morning. they were actually pretty good cakes and this picture reminds me to bring it out again for another round...

this boy loves to smile...

and loves to snuggle on anyone's lap...

and look cool at the park...and like a doll too...(dad's idea for a picture)

and cool at the beach too...(lily's idea for a picture) This is Jordan's jacket and been worn by Douglas through the years too. Jordan is 15 years old! It's like a family heirloom at this point.

speaking of baby dolls, look at lily and her 2 dolls going to the pool...

and look what our little boy is now doing and even surprises himself...

my dad loves his Sport Trac almost more than his kids....he heard they were not making them anymore so he went out and got a new one just to have one that would last even longer. I think he's trying to pass that love onto his grandkids...this is brainwashing at its finest.

omg, what's even worse is I just noticed the peanut butter on the spoon in the picture - if you know my dad, that's his signature snack and apparently now it's Lily's too. (lily always travels in carseats btw)

and our visits to Aunt Jennifer's classroom are so full circle to me. She's usually holding Grady while reading story to the kids and guess who gets a front and center seat for storytime? Lillers! Her students are SOOOOO excited and sweet to Lily and Grady - they pat them on the head like they're puppies and are so giddy with them. She has the sweetest class!!

it doesn't get much cuter than this imho...this is taken with my phone so if you can't see it just picture an open mouth smiling 4 month old on Jen's lap the whole time. I'm bringing the Flip next time for proper documentation. :)

You are such a wonderful mom. Lily is ready for school. You can tell she is just watching Jennifer and hanging on every word that she says. Lily and her easy bake is so cute. She looks like she is ready to start cooking desserts for the family. Grady looks so handsome in his green sweater.

It’s amazing how Lily loves Grandpa’s Sport Trac and only special little children are allowed to eat peanut butter on a spoon . . . and Jennifer making Lily & Grady feel special? . . . well that just Jennifer . . . a very special person.

Love Ya!
Dad & Grandpa
